PNE Enterprise Business Takes Home Top Industry Award

The awards ceremony for the prestigious ‘What's On 4 2017 Kids Awards’ with Strider Bike were held yesterday - and Jenna Davy from Gosforth, who owns and runs The Baby Hub, won the award for Best Independent Activity for Under 5’s - North!

These pioneering awards were launched in 2007 to celebrate the UK's best activities, class leaders, party providers, places and activity-based products for children - as nominated and voted for by the experts - parents, carers and parents-to-be.

Over the last decade, the ‘What’s On 4’ awards have become established as the industry accolade with hundreds of exceptional businesses and individuals in the flourishing sector keen to be part of the action and be in with a chance to be revealed as a ‘What’s On 4 Kids’ finalist or winner!

Now in its 11th year, this National awards programme welcomed Olympic Gold medallist Samantha Quek MBE as the VIP Guest speaker, new headliner Strider Bike and new hosts NatWest with STA and Konfidence supporting nominations and voting and media partner NowBaby.co.uk. A record number of nominations and votes were received and organisers were delighted to announce that The Baby Hub who offer Baby Massage and M+Ms (music, movement and sensory) classes were amongst the winners.

The wealth of nominations and votes this year reflects the huge support from the nations' parents for these awards and parents' eagerness to reward the very best! The awards are bigger than ever, covering a huge 26 different categories ranging from 'Best Pre or Post Natal Activity’ to the highly esteemed 'Industry Champion of the Year' (which will be judged by The Children’s Activities Association Board of Directors) and including the new ‘Best Product’ category – showcasing the very best products supporting and promoting children’s activities.

The Baby Hub offer programmes for parents and carers to experience quality time with their babies and toddlers through baby massage and M+Ms (music, movement and sensory) play. Created following the birth of her son in 2013, Jenna realised how powerful spending dedicated time with your little one can be. She felt the benefits for not only herself as a parent in terms of ‘getting out of the house’, sharing experiences with other parents/carers and increasing the bond with her child but also for her son in supporting his sociability, development and experiencing new environments.

The Baby Hub has gone from strength to strength – expanding from providing parent classes into delivering classes in nursery settings. Based on her success, she is now looking to grow by offering Baby Hub licences across the North East. This means others can join the team and run their own Baby Hub business to enjoy a worklife balance in a fantastic environment, supporting families.

Amy who has attended the class said: “I joined The Baby Hub when my son Teddy was only 6 weeks old and continued classes for a year. Myself and Teddy love the class - Jenna is so friendly and full of knowledge and experience and the class is really enjoyable. Highly recommend!”
